These two aren’t your typical idea of what a love story is.
They met in what seemed like a hopeless situation, and it wasn’t what you may picture, it wasn’t our usual Disney “daddy don’t like it”, “he’s a prince and I’m poor” scenario, they live 2054 miles away from each other.
They met on Tumblr and fell in love.
It wasn’t immediate, he had asked her as a joke which way he should get his hair cut and she, as she stated herself, replied like a bitch telling him to shave it off, sending him a picture along with it to emphasize just which way to shave it.
A few weeks went by and they hadn’t spoke after that, until one day she was getting a lot of hate over her looks and the way she spoke and he jumped right in to defend her, and told her they were all blind assholes because she was perfect.
And that is where their love story began.
They spoke every minute of every day, if they were home, they were on Skype. If they were out, they were texting. This went on for months, until one day she got on a plane and flew out to meet the guy she knew she’d spend the rest of her life with.
This was around a year ago, and they are now engaged and trying to work towards earning enough money to live together as soon as possible. But the most admirable thing they are doing, is they are using their internet fame to help other couples who have met via the internet and cannot afford flights to meet each other, they are working with a new documentary TV show that will fly couples of any age to their loved one.
This is Samantha and Jesse.
She was 17 when they met and he was 18.
They fell in love, they live 2054 miles away from each other.
They met.
They’re getting married.
They’re now helping others who are in their situation.
They are proof that true love is real, and that anything is possible.

LGBTQ* Slogans, Illustrations, and Pride
Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Wind, Sand and Stars, 1939, translated from French by Lewis Galantière

Lesbian contestants enter Miss California pageant
<33333
gaywrites:
This year’s Miss California USA pageant was unlike any before, with the first openly gay contestants ever in the running.
Jenelle Hutcherson, 26, and Mollie Thomas, 19, were the first openly gay contestants in the pageant’s 60-year history. More than 400 women started in the running, with a final round of 20 people before crowning a winner this weekend.
From the LA Times:
Thomas, a part-time UCLA student, said this is her first time in a pageant. She agreed to compete because it allowed her to represent the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in a positive way, she said.
“I’m running for equality and will use this in order to promote visibility on current issues, to become a youth advocate and a role model,” Thomas said in an interview. …Hutcherson, sporting a pierced nose and tattoos, is also using the contest as part of an effort to spread a message of tolerance and equality. A mentor at the LGBT center in Long Beach, she also hopes to inspire young people.
“We have the power to create a better future for our kids by setting an example of treating each other with love and equality,” she said.Neither of the girls won, but I bet they’ll be remembered anyway.

Oh my goodness.. /:
Please reblog this so people can pray.
This is my son, James. He’s my whole entire world, basically the reason why I continue to get out of bed everyday. Today when he was at his moms, she wasn’t watching him and he fell down a load of stairs. He was knocked out and when she brought him to the hospital he wouldn’t wake up. Eventually he woke up and the doctors said everything was okay so I took him home with me. He fell asleep like 30 minutes after I got home with him so I put him in his crib, about 2 hours later I went in to check on him and he wasnt moving and I shook him a little and he wouldnt wake up. I’m sitting across from him in the hospital room as he lays down wrapped in all kinds of cords and has a breathing machine hooked to him to keep him breathing. I’m 17, I’m young and I haven’t lived my life to the fullest, but if he dies.. I go to. Please pray. Please.
